In professor Roy Taylor’s research, he discovered that the primary cause of type 2 diabetes was the excess accumulation of fat in the liver and pancreas. Fatty liver and diabetes have a co-occurrence rate of 70 %. While weight gain is associated with fatty liver and type 2 diabetes, it is not the primary cause.
